Leadership within a Cub Scout Pack comes in all shapes and sizes.

Family is always welcome and can always assist in making sure their Scout is following the Path of Akela.

Adults are welcome to take on responsibilities when attending Pack or Den led events.

But, there's more!

Becoming an Adult Leader for the Boy Scouts of America gives you an opportunity to shape an ever changing program. Lead and teach in ways that are unique to you and helpful to everyone. And there's so much more!

Did you know?

    • Samoset Council offers training that can assist you both personally and professionally?
        • The Wood Badge program, offered once a year, offers training that is similar to other professional-based leadership training
        • Samoset Council also offers many other types of training, often free, but always below regular cost.
    • Position Training (Den Leader, Cubmaster, Treasurer) teaches you more than how to handle a Pack, Den or even Troop - it gives you a new understanding to handle any group. Coaching, Team Leading, and much more.
    • Volunteering your time (that you're already spending with your Scout) is a fantastic addition to any resume
    • Many companies offer VTO (Volunteer Time Off). Scouting is a perfect fit, and when you're working on making your Scouts experience better, why not?
